Our Mission
myvinverification.com is an online directory of CA DMV-Licensed Vehicle Verifiers who perform mobile VIN verifications throughout California.
We are dedicated to connecting businesses and individuals with an experienced and licensed vehicle verifier near them to complete CA DMV Form REG 31 (Verification of Vehicle) — at your location, on your schedule.

Our Vetting Standards
Every verifier listed on this directory must meet both of the following requirements before being considered:
- Active CA DMV Vehicle Verifier License — We verify each applicant's license status directly through the California DMV's licensing records before publishing any listing.
- Demonstrated experience — 5+ years licensed as a CA DMV vehicle verifier, or 500+ completed verifications documented. We require evidence of both where possible.
We also verify the applicant's identity and confirm their claimed service area is consistent with their actual location and operational history. No listing is published before this review is complete, and no payment is collected until verification passes.
How We Maintain Accuracy
Listings are reviewed on a rolling basis. We cross-reference verifier license status with the California DMV public records periodically to confirm that all listed verifiers remain in good standing. If a verifier's license lapses, is suspended, or is revoked, their listing is removed promptly.
If you receive a negative experience with a verifier found through this directory, use the misconduct report link on the Directory Agreement page to notify us. All reports are reviewed.
Growing Statewide
Our directory currently covers the Greater Sacramento Area (Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, and Solano Counties) and the Central Valley. The SF Bay Area and Southern California are open for applications. This directory will continue to expand as we identify quality independent vehicle verifiers in more cities and counties throughout California.
